A bizarre domestic dispute has been registered with the police in Bengaluru. A 35-year-old man has accused his 29-year-old wife of harassment, assault and defamation after she alleged that he was impotent.
The couple reportedly married on May 5, 2025. Since then they had been living together at Saptagiri Palace in Bengaluru.
According to the man’s FIR marital tensions began about three months after their marriage when his wife suspected he was impotent.
This was because their relationship had not yet been consummated.
Medical Examination and Escalation of Dispute
The husband stated that his wife pressured him to undergo a medical examination. Doctors certified that he was physically capable of sexual intercourse and attributed the delay to mental stress.
Despite medical confirmation the complainant alleged that his wife continued to harass him and demanded compensation of Rs 2 crore for her inability to fulfill marital obligations.
Allegations of Assault
The situation reportedly escalated on August 17 when the man’s wife and her relatives allegedly entered his home in Govindrajnagar and assaulted him and his family members. Following the incident the man contacted the police.
A case was subsequently registered at the Govindrajnagar police station against his wife and her relatives for assault and harassment.
Political Aspects
In a video message the complainant also claimed that his wife is associated with the media wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He appealed to the party to intervene and support him in the matter.
The case is attracting attention due to the unusual nature of the dispute and the demand for substantial compensation. Police are now investigating the allegations and counter-allegations between the couple.
